This is the kind of Morzine forum post we like to stumble accross on Singletrack
Happy days!
Emmeline Ragot and Fionn Griffiths have been staying at flowmtb HQ in Morzine for a couple of weeks before heading to La Bresse this weekend. On Friday Chatel sponsored Floriane Pugin headed over with Emilie Siegenthaler and somehow i ended up riding with them…or slithering slowly down a long way behind!
Fantastic day of mountain biking in Morzine and Les Gets with some of the world’s best riders!

At the moment both Fionn Griffiths and Emmeline Ragot are staying with flowmtb.
Here’s their race report from the recent French Nationals. If you’re after the inside story, ask everyone round the dinner table with them at flowmtb in Morzine this week…
Team GR – French Natinal Championships Report copy
the French mountain bike championship took place in Meribel last weekend .
After the many disappointments of early World Cup season with a lot of
injuries, mechanical problems and falls, Emmeline needed to reconnect
with a podium. She was able to avoid the gremlins this week taking the
silver medal at the French championship in Meribel, in the extreme
conditions. Emmeline told us..
“It was an important race on one of the most technical and chalenging
tracks i have riden or raced so far this season and I’m happy to finaly get
past my bad luck phaze and get back to the podium.”
After some beautiful weather for training on Friday and Saturday, the
condition changed radically overnight the weather in the resort of Meribel
had truly come to challenge the riders. The rain continued throughout the
day on Sunday making the downhill track very difficult for the riders.
“The trail is steep and long with many obstacles, rocks, jumps and steps
that follow one another, mixing in to that big ruts, offcamber slopes along
with a mess of roots it made it very hard to get your bike to do what you
want it to. at times things became uncontrollable and seemingly unridable,
but we just had to battle on.”
After 5’30 race, Emmeline is vice champion of France before Sabrina Jonnier
and behind Myriam Nicole, competitors who have regular contact with the
UCI podium on the international World Cup Tour.
This week is the week we dread, the one where it rains almost non stop. Thankfully they’re rare but when they come they’re horrible, we always really feel for the guests out on holiday wishing for sunny skies and dusty trails. And be assured, we know how it feels, it happened to us in Whistler.
However, we don’t like to let it put us off riding, and like the real pros they are neither do Fionn or Emmeline…
