The Megavalanche organisers have announced the provisional dates of next year’s Alpe d’Huez Megavalanche as the 8,9, & 10th July.
flowmtb were the first mountain bike specialist company to run trips to the Megavalanche, and we reckon we remain the best! As the numbers of people wanting to stay with us have gone up year on year, we’ve changed what we offer, but only for the better.
This year we are taking over a fantastic hotel in the centre of Alpe d’Huez, close to all the action. With great rooms, friendly staff, and a fantastic bar, it’s the place to be.
What we’re offering:
Centrally located hotel
Twin and triple ensuite rooms, most of which have balconies
Breakfast each morning
Three course dinner with wine every evening
flowmtb staff in the hotel to answer all your questions and help with any race/bike/riding issues you have
Prices from €315 per person B&B and €445 catered (7 nights)
4-11th July 2011
Short stays also available

It seems like so long ago now…. Once the chalets and the shop were packed up and cleaned out, the flowmtb and Torico team went out to Chamonix for an end of season day of riding, and of course a few post-ride beers.
Some great trails, and lots of laughs.
Pictures here.
We left Whistler for 4 days of Wilderness riding around Spruce Lake. With a stock of bear bangers, food and warm clothes we left whistler very early one morning for the 4 hour drive to the trailhead. Shunning the float plane lift most people take (stupid move!) we rode in with all our kit for three nights staying in a cabin by spruce lake.
An amazing experience with some great trails. Check out photos here.
As those of you have been following our tweets will know, Guy and I treated ourselves to an end of season riding trip to Whistler – and other sweet spots in BC.
We stayed in the fantastic BearBack MTB chalet; we were treated to some top food, some great rides with their guides, and met some fantastic people. We also hooked up with Greg (flowmtb summer 2008 guests should remember him) for a lot of riding.
Anyone interested can see pictures from riding in Whistler here.
