Well – the first one I’ve done in France at least!
After taking the road bike out a few times in the past couple of weeks, it was time to get the Heckler out of hibernation and on to the trails.
First up – getting it ready to ride! We’d just dumped the bikes in our garage when we got back from our Scottish trip over new years. Unfortunately the drive back included plenty of salty snowy icy roads. Not so good for your drivetrain. or anything really!
So a can of GT85 later and the wheels went round. the brakes braked (and brake levers returned) – and the gears were changing.
Off down the valley towards Bonneville and we had ourselves a 2.5 hour bike ride – 500m or so of climbing, with a bit of hike-a-bike thrown in for good measure.
Bring on the next ride!

Jo looking happy with the trail ahead…
