Litter picking in Lindarets

After riding in the sunshine yesterday we awoke to another sunny day - perfect riding weather. Not for me however! While Guy headed to Champery with all the guests in the chalet I went to join the big litter pick in the Lindarets bowl. I headed up with Sam who runs the fantastic ski/board chalet More Mountain and Izzy from Boutique Ski. Lots of volunteers turned up to rid the area of the rubbish of winter. We were amazed by the number of sweet wrappers and litter, but above all cigarette buts. As the sacks filled up it was clear just how much rubbish is just dropped over the season. It wasn’t the nicest of jobs, but great to know at the end that we’d all made it a nicer place to ride and walk in this summer. We’re asking everyone to help keep it that way and take all their litter home with them.

Lift opening day

The lifts opened today so we got out to ride some old favourites. It was a bit of a damp start to the season with a few days of rain but it didn’t dampen spirits. We all returned a little muddy but happy and looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow.

Better late than never

So this video was taken almost a year ago - I just never got round to getting it off the DVD! It features a great run down from the Col de Coux towards La Barme in Switzerland with Greg (last year’s guide, and first up is Jules Fincham from cycle wild scotland)

Apologies for the quality - this was a helmet cam that was put on DVD and then taken back off DVD and edited in iMovie.  Not the best recipe for high quality video!

In other news - we’ve just taken back our Chalet in Morzine - getting it ready for the opening weekend!
