After riding in the sunshine yesterday we awoke to another sunny day – perfect riding weather. Not for me however! While Guy headed to Champery with all the guests in the chalet I went to join the big litter pick in the Lindarets bowl. I headed up with Sam who runs the fantastic ski/board chalet More Mountain and Izzy from Boutique Ski. Lots of volunteers turned up to rid the area of the rubbish of winter. We were amazed by the number of sweet wrappers and litter, but above all cigarette buts. As the sacks filled up it was clear just how much rubbish is just dropped over the season. It wasn’t the nicest of jobs, but great to know at the end that we’d all made it a nicer place to ride and walk in this summer. We’re asking everyone to help keep it that way and take all their litter home with them.
