Mega Megavalanche

We’re now fully booked for the Megavalanche. We know a lot of you are still emailing us looking for rooms so we’re doing our best to find another suitable chalet and cook. We’ll get back to you all as soon as we’ve sorted something out.

It looks sets to be a great event this year with tons of Brits heading out, and even better lots of ladies! I’m excited already!

More videos

I’ve been a bit busy with iMovie and youtube today!

Check out the video page to see the “flowmtb playlist”

And the flowmtb YouTube home page.

Megavalanche Entries

Entries are now open - check out www.activeeurope.com to enter.  Then get onto the flowmtb website to book a place in our chalet - we’ve only got a couple of rooms left - so be quick!

Check this video from last year’s event…

The video is from the guy dressed up as a cow. Bloody good rider!

Here’s a short video from our November Morocco trip - enjoy :)

Music is Bonobo - Flutter.

flowmtb facebook group

So we now have two facebook groups. A dirtgirls group (called flowmtb dirtgirls) started by one of the 2007 dirtgirls and a flowmtb group I registered yesterday. If you’re on facebook go and join up.

You can then use the groups to share photos and keep up with friends you’ve made on holiday with us.

Chance to win a new bike and riding kit

We just heard about this great comp being run by Trek and Health and Fitness Magazine. If you’re eligible, get applying!

Fancy trying a cycling event this year? If you love biking, join us on the exciting Trek Fitness Challenge. We’re looking for four readers to take part in the Twentyfour12 mountain bike event on July 26 and 27, and to help you prepare, Trek will give you a new bike, worth around £1,000, plus all the kit you need! For a chance to be a part of the team, e-mail mbartlett@futurenet.co.uk telling us why you’d like to take part, plus your name and address, by February 15, 2008. For more information on the event, see *www.twentyfour12.com*.

Here’s something

…to take my mind off the current rain (yes rain) here in Morzine.  A great looking trailer for a new euro MTB film called ‘Virtuous’.  Made even nicer for the fact that it’s in HD.

And what’s more, it features trails from about the Portes du Soleil - that Chatel road gap to be precise. Looks so nice and dusty as well.

Still - if the rain continues, and is then followed by some sunshine….maybe, just maybe…the bike…hmmm

p.s. I got the link off www.tworide.com - nice site there as well.

Mmmmm, new bikes

Well I’ve just had the arduous task of speccing out our hire bikes.

What bikes, how many, what colour, do I go for Juicy 5s? X9 or X7? Rockshox or Marzocchi? Pimpy white components, or straight laced black. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.

So far we can say that we’ll be having some more Hecklers and VP-Frees Then there’s the tough question of what bike I’ll be riding… Stick with my trusty 4X, or get something bigger, better (if you can better a 4X), newer and shinier…

Well that’s enough rambling. I’ve got some lovely new skis to try out this afternoon.

Mmmmm, skis…

Col du Cou hike

Col du Cou hike, originally uploaded by guybowden.

We tested out our new Snowshoes the other day. And great they are too. Helps you get up and away from the crowded pistes and if you carry your board with you then you don’t have that tedious walk back down. All in all a great way to spend the morning.

I’m wondering if I can get a refund on my lift pass now :)
