Avoriaz Slopestyle 2008

A huge international slopestyle event is being hosted in Avoriaz next July. Rumour has it the world’s best riders will be gathering to take part in this comp and battle it out for a hefty prize. It’s running from the 13-15th July and we still have a few rooms available for that week. With the roofs, roads and steps of Avoriaz being used it should be an exciting event. Anyone wanna enter?

Snowshoeing

We treated ourselves to some snowshoes and tried them out for the first time today. They’re a great way to keep fit and be ready for biking once the snow melts away. We’re planning a trip later this week hiking up Col du Cou (some of you may remember riding up that, but we’ll be taking the long way!) and skiing back down, a great way to avoid the crowded pistes!

Merry Xmas

We hope you all have a happy Christmas! Here’s hoping for some nice shiny bike bits under the tree and some dry, frozen trails in the new year!Hopefully see you in 2008!Cheers,Guy+Sara

dirtgirls in What Mountain Bike

Top Health and Fitness journo, Emma Morris, came out on one of our dirtgirls weeks in July. New to mountain biking, she wanted a quick headstart to see her catching on her bike-mad boyfriend. She wrote up her experience for both What Mountain Bike (Oct issue) and Health & Fitness (Nov issue) magazines. In case you missed it we have a copy of the article.

first snowboarding of the winter

Well, now we’re back in Morzine which is pretty chilly after Morocco. Still, we thought we’d take advantage of the snow and get up the hill for a few hours on Sunday, and lots of fun it was too. We’re just waiting to get hold of our new skis now so we can try them out. Snow’s falling right down into town now, so no biking for a while :(
